I wrote the chorus and the bridge over ten years ago but I wasn't quite sold on the verses or the vocal line. I picked it back up recently and reworked a few things. Just a feel-good song.

Sometimes it's better to not follow the horde and reveal everything to everyone. I started off just strumming my guitar and developed the verse. The chorus came to me while I was on an airplane. The first lyrics I had were "The oath of a liar...", and I knew the cadence of how I wanted to sing that bit, which became the pre-chorus. That kind of shaped the overall feel and narrative/story of the song.

I've had this one lying around for a while. Just a bit of nostalgia for a childhood today's kids will never know.

"Botoxed Dromedaries" came to me after reading an article about how people were giving botox, liposuction and other cosmetic enhancements to camels in order to win money in their pageants. These are illegal in such contests and a scandal erupted. You can't make this stuff up. But you can make something up from it. I hope you enjoy it. - Jim

I'm old enough to remember when Rock & Roll rebelled against the Establishment. Here are 12 songs that do just that, with an eclectic blend of pop, punk, alternative, jazz and even a ballad.
